A Night in Euljiro
Printing presses by day, plastic stools by night. A walk through Seoul's most atmospheric drinking district.
By day, Euljiro belongs to workshops: printers, tile shops, lighting stores. After dark the alleys change hands. Shutters come down, tables come out, and the neighbourhood becomes one long, loud dining room.
How to spend the night
Start early, eat first, and do not plan too much. The best tables are the ones you find by following the noise.
Nobody comes to Euljiro for the perfect cocktail. They come for the plastic stool and the conversation next to it.
Before you go
Bring cash for the smaller places, expect to share space, and leave the alley the way you found it.
